Not the OTR tax certificate. A closing still needs the official certificate from the Office of Tax and Revenue. Details
Frequently asked questions
What is an SSL?
Square, suffix and lot: the District's identifier of a property, on the tax bill and in most listings (e.g. 2965 0006).
Is this the OTR tax certificate?
No. The certificate costs $15 per lot and takes about 10 business days; this site shows the public tax extract now.
Why can a balance shown be out of date?
The extract is a snapshot on its extraction date; a payment made since is not reflected.
Why is the civic number not shown?
To avoid publishing the exact address of a home; the street and the SSL are enough.
What is in the $19 report?
Tax and balances by year, all permits since 2009, vacant status, sale and value, as a PDF within 24 hours.
